CERRITOS JC: A second-team All-South Coast Conference member, Marr
went 3-3 with 10 saves and a 2.93 ERA in 1996...He struckout 29 in 30.2 innings
pitched while giving up 24 hits...Cerritos finished 30-17 and 15-9 in the
South Coast Conference...He went 9-5 with a 3.55 ERA and picked up 11 saves
in 1995. He pitched 53.1 innings, allowing 47 hits, giving up 23 runs (21
earned) while striking out 47 and walking 22. Allowed eight doubles, one
triple and two home runs. Cerritos finished the season 39-14 and runners-up
in the 1995 California Championship. Marr, a second team All-America, was
also a member of the 1995 All-South Conference team, First Team All-State
and First Team All-Southern California. Earned save for Cerritos in win over
Cypress that advanced the Falcons to the State Championships...Coached by

HIGH SCHOOL: Marr attended Downey High School in Downey, Calif., where
he was a two-time First Team All-San Gabriel Valley League selection...Also
collected his team's Most Inspirational Player Award, as well as their MVP
award...Went 2-6 with 43 strikeouts and 1.98 ERA as a senior..Had the third
highest batting average in Downey High School history at .451 and also belted
two homers and drove in 17 runs...Coached by Fred Yanez...He was drafted
in the 59th round by Seattle...
